savings.sg — Saving and cash management in Singapore
savings.sg is the Chinese-first cash-management reference in the Xiaopoxian knowledge network, written for new residents and expatriate families in Singapore. It splits household cash into three layers (available at any time, needed within a year, reserved for three to ten years) and explains where savings accounts, Singapore-dollar fixed deposits, high-interest accounts, T-bills, Singapore Savings Bonds, money-market funds, CPF and SRS, and savings insurance fit: what protects each, how to apply, how it is taxed, whether foreigners can use it, and the currency risk of holding several currencies.
It publishes no rate rankings, recommends no bank, fund or policy, forecasts neither interest nor exchange rates, and promises no account-opening, allotment or tax outcome. Every rate is a dated example.
Sister sites: saving.sg for savings insurance itself (saving.com.sg in English); hnw.sg for residency and tax residence, CRS, cross-border family finances, asset allocation and private banking; ilp.com.sg for ILPs and fund platforms; xiaopoxian.com.sg for insurance regulation, buying insurance as a foreigner and Hong Kong–Singapore differences. Account-opening documents and steps follow each bank's own pages.
